Spark Cycling is a metropolitan themed cycling team. With a need to create a team cycling kit that was both a piece of graphic art, and high-visibility. This concept you are about to see combines both aspects of what the clients desired. I decided to innovate cycling jersey design to develop and deliver something that would go above and beyond what they wanted.
The full kit showcases the design of the cycling jersey and pants as a whole.
The main logo for Spark Cycling combines both an S for Spark, as well as featuring a lightning bolt like motif that runs through the center. The S shape of the logo also features in a bolt like shape to give a subtle lightning shape as well.
The features type fonts for Spark are League Gothic, and Montserrat. The contrast of the thick & narrow League Gothic, compared to the wide and thin Montserrat help to contrast one another. This allows for the two fonts to coexist next to one another to allow for visual difference.
The elements shown below are some aspects of the jersey that lend to its graphic design. The subtle lightning bolt motifs help bring the design together so it becomes clear from any viewing angle that it belongs to Spark Cycling.
